VA Shortlist is written and maintained by the Outsourcing Insider editorial team. These are the rules every page follows.
Who writes this
The Outsourcing Insider editorial team researches, scores and updates every ranking and review. Outsourcing Insider is a VA MASTERS company, and VA MASTERS appears in our rankings. That's why the scoring rules below are fixed, public and the same for everyone. More about ownership.
How we research
- We use what a service publishes about itself: pricing pages, terms, service pages and FAQs, plus its public review profiles.
- Every fact carries a source and the date we checked it. If something isn't published, we write "Not published" instead of guessing.
- We don't take marketing claims at face value. Where a service's own pages contradict each other, we note it.
How we score
One published rubric, fixed before scoring, applied to every service. VA MASTERS is scored against the same evidence bar as everyone else, and it has its own "what to watch" list.
Independence from advertisers
- No service pays for a score, a rank or a review.
- We don't link out to the services we review, so there are no affiliate links on this site.
- If we ever add sponsored placements, they'll be labeled "Sponsored" and kept apart from the rankings.
Updates and corrections
- We re-check prices and terms at least every three months. Each page shows when it was last updated.
- Anyone, including the services we list, can ask for a correction. We check it against the published source and log every change on the corrections page.
